Ray Wilko — Pinball

For the recording of "Pinball" Ray Wilko hired the package of two producers who worked with him on previous albums: Peter von Siebenthal and Oli Bösch. Pretty much like The Three Musketeers they set up a studio in two rooms of an old castle in the south of France near Toulouse. Ray Wilko there returned to his speciality: Writing, singing and playing almost everything by himself – with the exception of some drums performed by Cab Strangler. Later in the production process band members Reg Fry (bass), Stoo Oversold (lead guitar) and Tommy Knuckles (trumpet) contributed their toppings here and there. On "Pinball" Ray Wilko is perfecting his very own mixture of indie attitude with pop appeal and folk elements.
